Texas Cash-Out Refinance and Home Equity

Texas cash-out refinances and home equity loans on a homestead are governed by Article XVI, Section 50 of the Texas Constitution, which limits the loan to 80 percent of the home’s value.

Texas home equity rules also include waiting periods and disclosures that other states do not require.
